This was a fairly complicated structural steel hipped roof for an extension to a beautiful beachfront property in Beachlands.

We had to connect to the existing house and follow the existing roof pitch as well as connect to cast-in connection bolts in existing concrete columns. Additionally, there was a need for compound mitres where we were joining the original property, which meant we had to be accurate to the millimetre with our survey, drawings and manufacture over this large area.

The steel itself was all manufactured off site, and the install team managed to get all the beams in place in one day with the aid of a long reach Hiab crane.
